New Rates and Liberty Plans effective June 1, 2011
is going the distance so you can go car-free and stay mobile for a fraction of the cost of owning a car. Introducing our new rate plans with Liberty day $27.50 and hourly $2.75 rates + mileage – and Long Distance rates that take CarSharing to a whole new level in Halifax.
Liberty plans are made possible by the payment of a refundable membership bond – which is a way for you to take part in and support CarSharing in your community – and reap the rewards of lower rates over the long term. Liberty means you're free to dwell at your destination because the hourly cost is so reasonable. In the end the pennies can add up to big savings and a big win-win-win for members, for CarSharing and for Halifax altogether.
We've also changed our tried-and-true Household plans, now just $5.95/hour +17ยข/km with a reduced $39 annual fee. (down from $10/hr during prime time and $200 annually) – and the Driver Application fee has been reduced to $35 (down from $50). We're gung-ho to grow our service, our membership and our fleet.
