Adding Drivers

The holder of CarShareHFX membership takes financial responsibily for the account. That person may or may not be a driver, and can add drivers to the account for just $50. The same is true for Workplace account which are held by corporations which are able to add an unlimited number of drivers.

The holder of a Household Membership, for instance, might add a partner, family member, a caretaker, or other person with whom they are living. Parents can add adult children whether or not the reside in the same household. Additional drivers can be included at the time the account is opened or added later. Here's how it works:

Go to "Join Now"

The account owner gives permission to the new member to apply to the same Household Membership account. The new member applies by going "Join an Existing Account" and applies. They will be notified when they are accepted.

Orientation

The new member can come to the office for their orientation and get their driver package and start driving! In the case of Workplace accounts with multiple drivers CarShareHFX is please to organize in-house orientation sessions.

Examples

A disabled person or a senior could set up a membership for a caretaker.

A person could purchase a CarShareHFX membership for someone else as a gift.

Adult children living at home may be ideal candidates for Extra Membership.
